rPET, also known as recycled polyester, is an innovative eco-friendly fabric. The “r” stands for “recycle.” rPET fibers are sourced from recycled plastic bottles. These bottles undergo sorting, shredding, and fiber spinning, eventually being transformed into meltable rPET pellets, which are then extruded into new fibers. This material is relatively affordable, clean, and environmentally friendly. Our factory is fully dedicated to the development of rPET materials and welcomes customers interested in co-developing sustainable solutions for the planet.

Environmental Impact of Recycled Polyester:
1. Prevents single-use plastic waste from entering oceans: According to the NGO Ocean Conservancy, 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean annually. Currently, an estimated 150 million tons of plastic circulate in the marine environment, with 60% of seabirds and all sea turtles ingesting plastic mistakenly.
2. Reduces energy consumption during production: Recycled polyester offers quality comparable to virgin polyester fibers, with a production process that reduces energy consumption by 59% (2017, Swiss Federal Office for the Environment).
3. Substitutes petroleum-based materials: Recycled polyester lowers dependency on petroleum resources, reduces waste, extends landfill lifespan, mitigates toxic emissions from incinerators, and enables closed-loop recycling systems for garments that can no longer be worn.
4. Develops new resource recycling systems to address resource scarcity: Polyester fibers account for 60% of the global PET production, which is double the amount used for PET bottles. Developing supply chains for non-virgin, recycled plastics for polyester production significantly impacts global energy and resource needs.
